Mole Removal

  1. CO2 LASER MOLE REMOVAL TREATMENT; There are many reasons why we would like to remove moles: aesthetically unattractive appearance, to reduce discomfort, when the mole is regularly injured (e.g., while shaving), or if disturbance is related to its localization, when it is rubbed or pressed by clothes. Moles should be removed surgically due to much more serious reasons. A mole should be examined by a doctor before any treatment can be done. Laser mole removal is a modern procedure, which will help you to remove unwanted benign skin formations quickly, safely and with no pain. Benefits of laser mole removal. The primary benefit of laser mole removal is that it is non-invasive. Because there is no cutting or burning of the skin, the risk of infection is significantly reduced. Results are acceptable even for those who wish to remove moles on visible parts of the body such as on the face or in the neck area.

We @klinikfinesse, we use CO2 surgical lasers machine, which proven clinically remove moles without leaving nasty scars. This laser is often the treatment of choice for moles removal because it only cause minor discomfort compared to other treatments.

  4. The patient will get a smooth and flatten mole within 1 sessions of treatment but note that the removal must be done at least 4-6 session for them to permanently removed.

  5. Laser surgery for mole removal provides a scar-less and stitch-less solution, particularly important for mole removal from the face. The flattening effect is achieved using a computerised pattern generator combined with a pulsed carbon dioxide laser, which has an ablative, but delicate, tissue removal effect. Removal occurs in a flat plane, therefore making no holes in the skin or mole, leaving an even, contoured effect, the end result being that the mole is flat and flush with the skin. Pigmented (brown) moles tend to have all their colour removed by this technique, and raised fleshy moles, once made flat, are no longer visible, since they are essentially the same colour as skin.

  6. This modality is only recommended for small flat moles, if there is no suspicion for skin cancer. Laser mole removal eliminates unwanted moles without damaging the surrounding skin cells. However, some of these pigmented skin cells may remain beneath the skin after laser and therefore there is a small risk of recurrence. Generally, laser mole removal is less likely to form scars as compared with other methods of mole removal. The treatment is minimally invasive and tends to heal well, with minimal downtime. Laser mole removal is ideal for cosmetic reason, in particularly on the face.

  7. Laser treatments are less invasive and more fuss free, but they destroy the mole tissue and are not suitable for moles that need further evaluation. Laser treatments are also more effective in removing moles in hard-to-reach areas of the body like the nose and throat. There are 2 types of laser treatments: ablative and non-ablative. Most of the common moles that we have will not require surgical methods and can be treated with a laser. This is especially useful because if you are removing your mole for aesthetic reasons, you would want a laser – they generally cause less scarring than surgical methods.

  8. The ablative laser such as the CO2 laser is less selective for water and hence can generate a lot of unwanted necrosis and heat when ablating skin lesions.
