Skin Tag Removal

  1. A skin tag is a small growth that typically matches your skin color or appears slightly pinker. Different from a wart or blemish, a skin tag tends to hang off the skin in the shape of a tiny balloon. They’re usually smaller than a pencil eraser but can grow to be as large as a small grape. While they’re harmless, they’re also annoying, and most adults will have at least one in their lifetime. The only known cause of these skin growths is obesity, which can cause you to have excessive skin tags. Where Do Skin Tags From? Most skin tags develop in the folds of the skin. This includes the eyelids, armpits, groin, and under the breasts. Those who are overweight will experience skin tags in other areas as well, including the stomach, back, and legs. They’re most common in areas where the skin folds and rubs against itself. We use CO2 surgical lasers machine, which proven clinically remove skin tags without leaving nasty scars. This laser is often the treatment of choice for skin tag removal because it only causes minor discomfort compared to other treatments. Note: Individual results may vary

  2. Skin tags are benign flesh-colored skin growths that can appear on any part of the of the body. Common areas are the armpits, neck, eyelids and groin folds. They affect almost everyone at some point of their lives. Skin tags can sometimes be mistaken for skin warts because they look similar in appearance. Skin tags appear spontaneously. It is in your gene. Skin areas that are subject to more friction and stretching are more prone to skin tags. Pregnant women, middle aged and overweight adults are more likely to develop skin tags.

  3. Skin tags can be easily removed by laser as they can be removed immediately and they usually do not grow back at the same place. Recovery time is about 1 week. Before the treatment started, numbing cream and/or local anesthesia (painkiller) injection will be given before treatment. The only pain you may feel is the painkiller injection. Small skin tags usually only require numbing cream before the procedure.

  4. co2 laser cosmetic treatment targets the skin tags and eliminates them leaving smoother more aesthetically pleasing skin without irritation. There are three key factors to consider here, precision, effectiveness and safety. Our CO2 laser treatments offer all three of these factors by precisely targeting the skin tag, especially in sensitive areas such as the eyes. Effectively eliminating the skin tag causing no damage to the surrounding skin which, ultimately, makes the treatment incredibly safe and comfortable.

  5. Before starting the procedure, a strong numbing cream will be applied if there are multiple bumps to be removed. For the removal of large moles / bumps which may be more invasive, Dr Edwin prefers to give an injection of local anesthesia. After numbing cream / local anesthesia, the procedure is nearly painless! During the procedure, the mole / bump is removed precisely in layers by the CO2 laser. Should the procedure be too invasive, Dr prefers to perform the removal over several sessions to minimise the risk of scarring. Post-procedure, we recommend that patients apply an antibiotic cream, recovery cream and scar-gel for best results.

  6. A new generation of carbon dioxide laser is used to remove unwanted skin growths non-surgically. The Co2 Laser is a safe and quick process to remove the above skin tags without any cuts or stitches. It can also be used to treat wrinkles, scars and sagging skin.
